Compulsive Obsession

I’m sure everyone has it, in some form or other. Mine (one my many obsessions) is to try create an account whereever possible. Which is why i have an account in Yahoo, Hotmail, Rediffmail, Gmail, Goowy, Blogrolling, Blogger…the list is just to long! So, now that AOL has come up with an Indian version of their mail/messenger service, it was but natural that i had to open an account. It’s been a long wish of mine to have a mail account with just my first name, but unfortunately some other Shyam beat me to it, yet again (looks like he is more obsessed than me)! so i had to satisfy myself with a ssquare@aol.in. At first glance, there doesn’t seem to be anything really attractive, or a lot of features in it, but that in itself, the simplicity, is really pleasant compared to the cluttered look and feel of the flash based Yahoo (I really preferred the old one!). Need to do some more experiment with this some more! And yes, you namesake, i will get you, sooner or later!

What’s common to Milind Deora, Christy Turlington, Anupam Kher, Deepak Chopra, Shekar Kapur,…?

They all blog here. There are a whole lot more contributors including Shahrukh khan, Saira Mohan, Rahul Bose among others. I am surprised that i havn’t heard much about this before.

My Slogan !

Google launches Online Spreadsheet and Word processor

Being a self confessed Google Follower, Iam obviously overjoyed with the launch of Google online Spreadsheets and online worprocessor (Google having acquired Writely). Going through the sneakpeek, I was really impressed with the features available. No more worries of disk crashes and lost data. Moreover, One can share the documents anywhere across the web and people in geographically remote locations can access and modify the documents simultaneously. I have got the invitation for testing out the beta version of Google Spreadsheet and i’m reallt geared up to get the first taste of what it has to offer.

Google Reader

Google has now come up with it’s own RSS feed reader. You can serach for feeds, subscribe for it , categorize it under your own labels and do a lot more. Check it out here

Shyam Schindler or Bill Sundar ?!

I found this test while browsing thru Suderman’s Blog . I answered 45 q’s and i got this:

And then driven by my inquisitiveness, i tried this another test “Which Leader are you?”. Now I am not sure if I am happy or sad with the results.

GTalk is here!

Finally, putting an end to all the speculations about a new product launch by Google this week, Google has Launched it’s IM software, Google Talk. A superficial glance through the product leaves a lot to be desired. t is currently, by no means a match to it’s contenders, viz., Yahoo! or MSN. But knowing Google, I am very much sure that they will come up with something more innovative to lure the users away from the competitors just as they did it with GMail.

I am doing my personal bit of help by inviting all those who i know to join GTalk.

Book List

I was looking for a way to add those booklist to my blog, and guess what? peristence pays. I have finally triumphed(can’t believe i am actually gloating so much over this, but please don’t rob me off my fifteen seconds of pure, unadulterated ego-boosting).Anyway, all i needed to do was go here, sign up for an account, add the books, get the java script code and put it into my template and voila! there is my booklist!
